Metallurgy and Materials Science

Abstract

At present, the most widely used methods of high-temperature heat treatment in section rolling mills are hardening of metal immediately after hot deformation without additional heating. Hardening is carried out by means of accelerated cooling of the rolled product with intensive supply of cooling reagent to the surface of the rolled product. The absence of an additional operation of heating the metal before heat hardening allows achieving fuel savings and ensuring high productivity of the rolling mill.

Mining and Geotechnology

Abstract

The study of the regularities characterizing the operating parameters of long complex-mechanized working faces allows, when planning the development of mining operations, to predict the occurrence of breaks in the working front.

Abstract

A rock mass is a very complex environment in which, during mining operations, deformation processes of various types occur simultaneously: sub-limit (elastic and elastic-plastic) and beyond-limit. Carrying out mine workings in a rock mass disrupts the natural equilibrium, thereby forming in it an area of supporting rock pressure consisting of two zones. In the ultimate stress zone, directly adjacent to the working, the rocks are in a plastic state, and in the second zone the rocks are deformed elastically. In this case, the boundary between the plastic and elastic zones, as well as the dependence of the stresses in these zones on the parameters of the mine working can be established only approximately. It should be noted that the strength of the surrounding rocks, as a rule, is significantly higher than the strength of the coal in the seam, therefore a situation is possible when the rocks are still in the elastic stage, and the edge of the seam is already passing into the beyond-limit state.

Abstract

Currently, taking into account investors' demands for a quick return on investment, the development of coal reserves in the mine field is carried out in stages by constructing and commissioning a part of the mine's infrastructure facilities necessary for the launch of the first working face. As a rule, the development of coal reserves is carried out according to a temporary technological scheme.

Mechanical engineering and transport

19-22 13
Abstract

In the 19th century, steam engines were prevalent, in the 20th century, internal combustion engines were widespread. What types of transport and power sources will remain in the history of the 21st century?

At present, the speed and volumes of extracted oil resources are gradually increasing, and ultimately, as research by analysts shows, with the current dynamics of consumption, these energy resources in Russia will run out in 20-30 years. Natural gas reserves, given the current production volumes, will last for 50-70 years. However, there is an opinion that oil is a renewable resource.

Abstract

The beginning of the development of the theory of structure can be considered to be 1869. In this year, at the II Congress of Russian Naturalists, Academician P. L. Chebyshev made a report "On Parallelograms", in which the equation determining the condition of existence of a flat articulated parallelogram mechanism was presented for the first time. Subsequent studies of such scientists as M. F. Grubler, L. V. Assur, A. P. Malyshev, V. V. Dobrovolsky, I. I. Artobolevsky, G. G. Baranov, S. N. Kozhevnikov, L. N. Reshetov, Ch. F. Ketov, N. I. Kolchin, U. A. Dzholdasbekov, L. T. Dvornikov and others, allowed not only to create a modern theory of the structure of kinematic chains, but also to pose a number of problems, the solution of which urgently requires further resolution. One of them is the problem of complete identification of kinematic chains.

Architecture and construction

26-30 13
Abstract

Often the architectural concept implies a kind of “cutting down” of traditional constructions; it becomes increasingly difficult to define architecture – whether it is a synthesis or part of a complex expressive model associated with artistic experimentation and sculpture.

31-42 11
Abstract

The increasing pace of reconstruction, renovation and restructuring of existing residential areas and especially the organization of new settlements in the northern regions of the Russian Federation require a rethinking of their spatial structure in terms of the functional content of outdoor housing, in particular, structures for storing personal cars - garages.

Automation and information technology

43-47 7
Abstract

The first automated control systems for process complexes (ACS TC) of new generation coal preparation plants (CP) were developed and implemented in the early 2000s. The first such plant was the Antonovskaya CP (Novokuznetsk), which was put into operation in 2001. After 15 years, the situation in the field of automation of large industrial complexes has changed significantly: the functionality of automation systems has expanded significantly, new, more advanced and reliable technical and software tools have appeared, their information and software support has become more complex, and the concept of transition from “patchwork automation” to an integrated ACS TC based on a single software and hardware platform is being successfully implemented.

47-55 10
Abstract

One of the effective options for control systems operating under conditions of uncertainty caused by the absence of a mathematical model of the internal mechanisms of processes and the presence of active uncontrolled disturbances are systems with predictive physical models. Physical models in these systems can be represented, in particular, by operating installations with technological processes of energy and matter conversion occurring in them. The predictive mode of operation of such physical models, which are, as a rule, small-sized, is ensured by the accelerated time of the technological process. A team of specialists - experts participating in a business game and simulating the corresponding processes in social or socio-economic systems can also be considered a physical model.

Economy and Management

56-64 11
Abstract

In countries with a market economy, priority in the field of occupational safety management undoubtedly belongs to economic methods. More than seventy years of functioning in our country of a centralized state system of occupational safety management contributed to the emergence of stereotypes about the non-economic nature of the measures implemented in the field of safety and labor protection.

65-71 10
Abstract

The presence in the workplace of harmful and hazardous production factors that do not meet the requirements of regulatory legal acts (RLA) and regulatory technical documents (NTD) in the field of labor protection, the low level of professional qualifications of certain categories of personnel, and incorrect assessment of the level of production risks of various natures contribute to the occurrence of injuries and occupational diseases.

Education and Pedagogy

72-78 7
Abstract

Currently, the country is at a stage of development when it is necessary to quickly create new production and social infrastructure. In conditions when a course has been taken towards import substitution (including in the production of metallurgical goods), there is a high demand for highly qualified industry specialists capable of mastering new production and areas of activity. Human capital formed in universities is the dominant factor in the innovative development of basic industries and city-forming enterprises of the regions. The production specifics of the region are reflected in the specialties and areas of training. The need for competitive industry personnel potential, including in metallurgy, is traditionally provided by territorial universities. Regional authorities, like the state, are interested in increasing the efficiency of higher education institutions located in the territories of these regions. However, the conditions for achieving the threshold values of the indicators for monitoring the efficiency of their activities by universities are not the same.

Abstract

The Siberian State Industrial University implements a curriculum that provides for the preparation of bachelors in the direction 08.03.01 - Construction. Any educational institution must ensure the proper quality of education, which is defined as a balanced compliance of all aspects of higher education with certain goals, needs, requirements, norms and standards. One of the conditions for ensuring the quality of education is the formation of flexible learning paths. In order to ensure a flexible trajectory and control over the formation of competencies at the Siberian State Industrial University, funds of assessment tools (FOS) were developed as part of the educational and methodological complexes of academic disciplines, which systematize assessment tools for all forms of control, facilitate the procedures for assessing learning outcomes and allow for objective and reliable results to be obtained when conducting control.
