Metallurgy and Materials Science
In recent years, there has been a clear trend towards an increase in the volume of freight transportation by rail in Russia, especially in Siberia and the Far East (Eastern Polygon). Thus, if the increase in track freight intensity in 2018 compared to 2010 in Russia as a whole was 24%, then in the Eastern Polygon an increase in freight intensity of 34% was recorded. This fact, together with the complicated operating conditions of rails (climatic conditions, track plan), leads to a decrease in the operational durability of rails. According to available data, the relative probability of rail fractures on track sections with a radius of less than 650 m is 2.5 times higher compared to straight sections, and at an ambient temperature in the range from -20 ° C to -30 ° C, the probability of fractures increases more than 12 times.
Improving the quality of the layer deposited by electric arc surfacing on parts of metallurgical equipment operating under conditions of impact-abrasive wear is the most important reserve for increasing the volume of production and saving metal by extending the service life of the equipment [1–8]. The development of new materials that significantly increase the wear resistance of such parts and the use of technology for their restoration are important and pressing tasks [8–13]. One of the pressing issues in the development of a new surfacing material is the choice of an alloying system for the alloy [14–20]. In this case, it is necessary to take into account the operating conditions of the parts, the cost of the surfacing material, the results of testing various materials in laboratory and production conditions, as well as the type and hardness of various phases, wear resistance, etc. Due to the optimally selected alloying method, the deposited coatings have high hardness, abrasive and impact-abrasive wear resistance.
The study of the influence and improvement of various powder wires are urgent tasks in mechanical engineering. An important task in the manufacture of such powder wires is to ensure high hardness and wear resistance of the deposited metal obtained using powder wires, and the price of such materials also plays an important role.
Mining and Geotechnology
Currently, the pillar system of coal seam development with long, complex-mechanized working faces is predominantly used in mines. The widespread use of this development system is due to the possibility of using anchor support in sectional development workings and the full use of the potential of modern high-performance cleaning equipment. In the development of thin seams, plow mining has become quite widespread along with combine mining. Combined technologies are also used, which combine the development of reserves in favorable sections of the mine field with long working faces; sections that do not meet the conditions for efficient mining in long faces (in pillars, between large geological disturbances, sections of irregular shape, etc.) are developed using alternative technologies.
Among the dangerous factors of underground coal mining, gas-dynamic phenomena (GDP) are the most complex in nature and dangerous in consequences. This is explained by their high dynamic power and the release of a large amount of gas in a short period of time. The consequences of GDP can be accidents: sudden gasification and collapse of workings with coal and rock; explosions of methane and coal dust; destruction of workings support; damage to machines and mechanisms, equipment, devices; injuries and deaths of people.
Mechanical engineering and transport
Today, there are unfavorable conditions at the Karyer station for transporting scrap metal to the rail rolling site of EVRAZ West Siberian Iron and Steel Works (EVRAZ ZSMK). The technology for delivering and processing scrap metal at the Karyer station includes the following: after the consolidated train arrives from the junction station at the Zavodskaya-Sortirovochnaya station, the train is broken up into ring trains according to their purpose. The ring train includes cars for various purposes, including cars with scrap metal, the number of which in the train can vary from 1 to 60, and the number of trains per day - from 1 to 3. After being formed, the ring train departs for the Karyer station. Upon arrival of the train, the cars with scrap metal are moved to track No. 2 of the central park, intended for accumulation and storage of cars following to the address of OOO Vtorresurs-Pererabotka for processing. Then the cars are delivered to the unloading fronts as needed. After unloading and cleaning, the empty cars are formed into a ring train following to the Zavodskaya-Sortirovochnaya station.
At present, a fairly large part of the mechanisms are created with a parallel structure, where several kinematic chains with independent drives are installed between the fixed and output links. Such mechanisms have a number of advantages in terms of accuracy, rigidity, speed, the ability to handle large loads, and maneuverability.
Chemistry and chemical technology
Iron is always present in aluminum, as it is the predominant impurity of technical aluminum and the main impurity of pure aluminum. It gets into aluminum when using steel equipment during melting and casting, a significant part of the iron passes into aluminum from the raw material for its production - alumina.
Zinc is used in almost all branches of industry and is used under conditions of exposure to both natural and artificial environments. Unalloyed zinc has not found wide application as a structural material, since it has a complex of rather unfavorable mechanical, physical and technological properties. However, additional alloying of zinc with various elements significantly increases its above-mentioned properties and characteristics.
In recent years, interest in the creation of new structural materials with improved performance characteristics compared to traditional materials has been growing. That is why the development and study of the properties of new aluminum alloys with the participation of little-studied alloying and modifying additives that are stable in aggressive environments is a very urgent task.
Architecture and construction
In the development of Russian cities, the share of houses of the first mass series is quite significant. These include residential buildings built in the 30s and 40s (for example, a significant part of the development of the Central District of Novokuznetsk), as well as typical development of five-story houses of the 50s and 60s. There are cities, especially in the areas of new development of Siberia, whose housing stock consists entirely of five-story houses of the first mass series. Most of these buildings were built of brick, but in the sixties they began to use large-block, and later - large-panel housing construction. The number of "Khrushchyovkas" in the country is enormous, and the number of people living in them is also enormous. And therefore the issue of reconstruction of this housing is relevant everywhere.
The environment created as a result of architectural creativity covers the spheres of work, everyday life and leisure, and its quality, understood in a global sense, largely determines people's mood, feelings and thoughts, and finally, the purposefulness of the entire way of life.
Economy and Management
The human factor is becoming especially relevant at the present time – a time of scientific and technological progress (development of technology and equipment), when the efficiency of production, especially its competitiveness, depends on the employees of the enterprise.
