Abstract

Solution of many problems in modern technology involves the use of materials that has a high oxidation resistance. Therefore the study of the oxygen interaction with metals and alloys has acquired great importance in connection with the widespread use of new materials with special physical and chemical properties in various fields of science and technology in recent years. In this series special place is given to alloys of aluminum with magnesium. The thermogravimetric method was used to study the interaction of the AMg2 alloy containing gallium with atmospheric oxygen in the range 773 – 873 K in solid state. The kinetic parameters of the oxidation process are determined. Gallium additives up to 1.0 % increase the oxidation rate, which is accompanied by an increase in the apparent activation energy of theoxidation 
process from 100 to 40 kJ/mol. The alloys oxidation process obeys the parabolic equation.

Abstract

The study of deposited samples made by surfacing under a layer of flux was carried out. The production of surfacing flux was carried out by mixing ladle electric steelmaking slag with flux additives based on slag from the production of silicomanganese and dust from electrofilters from the production of aluminum. Surfacing was carried out on the surfacing plates made of steel grade 09G2S welding wire SV-08GA. The structure and nonmetallic inclusions of the deposited samples were studied and described by optical microscopy, and the hardness and wear resistance of the deposited surfaces were studied.

Abstract

The paper presents the study results of the influence of energy-technological modes of submerged arc welding with a flux produced from silicomanganese on gas saturation of welded seam metal. The dependences of the influence of power engineering modes on the concentration of oxygen and nitrogen in the weld metal are shown.

Abstract

Methods of transmission electron microscopy detected the formation of structural-phase states in the head of the 100-meter differentially hardened rails after long-term performance. It is shown that long-term operation is accompanied by the creation of gradients in the structure, phase composition, defective substructure in the rail head, consisting in a regular change in the content of plate pearlite, fractured pearlite, ferrite-carbide mixture, scalar and excess dislocation density. As we approach the surface of the rail fillet, the relative content of the metal volume with the structure of plate pearlite decreases, and with the structure of the destroyed pearlite and ferrite-carbide mixture increases. In a ferrite-carbide mixture, the size of grains and subgrains forming this type of structure varies from 40 to 70 nm; the particle size of the carbide phase located at the grain boundaries and subgrains varies from 8 to 20 nm.

Abstract

The article presents the results of calculations of disturbed lands under the influence of open pit mining in the Kemerovo region. The research was carried out by the method of remote sensing of the Earth in Google Earth application. It was found that the area of disturbed land in 2020 is about 700 km2, disturbed reliefs occupy 0.73 % of the total area of the Kemerovo region. This is relatively small for the region as a whole, but due to the concentration of disturbed lands in the most populated part, it has a negative effect on environment and public health. The method of remote sensing of the Earth is applicable for environmental monitoring and studies of the dynamics of the earth's surface relief, but it is necessary to supplement the remote method with an objects survey.

Abstract

Technology of rocks properties determination by the express method is considered. This method is based on the indenter pressing into the borehole wall. Analytical description of contact interaction of an indenter and rock is given on the basis of G. Hertz problem and O. Mohr theory of strength.

Abstract

At present, crank presses with a main working mechanism (MWM) based on flat lever mechanisms of the second class are widely used for stamping products. A big problem with such MWM presses is the misalignment of the slider under the influence of an eccentric application of deforming force. Misalignments of the MWM crank press slider reduce the stamping accuracy and cause it to jam and lead to its breakage. In the paper to eliminate these problems it is proposed to use high-class plain linkages for the design of MWM crank presses. Diagrams of class IV plain linkages were obtained for the design of new MWMs of crank presses. A new MWM for a crank press was 
developed on the basis of a class IV linkage and its prototype was made. The prototype of a new MWM of a crank press was tested.

Abstract

The article is devoted to the analysis of the financial condition of an economic entity based on the calculation of financial ratios. The goals and objectives of assessing the financial condition of an organization are analyzed. Indicators of the financial condition of an economic entity are provided. The composition of the information base for financial analysis is characterized, and the conclusions about the importance and appropriateness of analyzing an enterprise are drawn.

In the article architectural design is analyzed as a process of multifactorial problem solution, and a place of compositional component in it. Attention is paid to the excessive fascination with digital technologies and computer modeling methods, especially in the process of students performing design works. In respect to students’ design the Internet does not contribute to the development of creativity.

Abstract

This article outlines the features of the introduction of the training and testing program in terms of the selection and justification of the parameters of technological schemes for the development of thick seams with the release of coal from the roof coal. The use of neural network modeling of the load on the longwall as a basic element of the comparative assessment of the technological scheme proposed option will improve the program performance in the educational process in terms of increase in the assessement objectivity of the students’ answers.

The experience of implementing distance learning at the Siberian State Industrial University in the conditions of the spread of coronavirus infection COVID-19 is analyzed. The advantages and some disadvantages of distance learning have been identified. Ways to improve the quality of training through the introduction of educational video materials in the educational process have been noted.

Abstract

At the end of the 20th and the beginning of the 21st century, a new trend is emerging in the field of protection and popularization of heritage – in particular, a there is a special interest in industrial products (design) and industrial objects of architecture. Essential for evaluating these types of heritage as elements of creative and social development of the humankind is possibility of their resocialization in connection with development of innovations and technology. On the one hand, this gives a new point of view on classical works of art or possibility of carrying out modern creative projects; it allows location at a worthy place in a «different» space, and secure the «new» viewers. The article discusses potential of industrial heritage sites in the presentation of works of art.

Abstract

In the present paper we analyses the role of the Italian administration played during the deportation of the whole Jewish Community of Rhodes. New sources gave us the possibility to study more deeply the relationships between Italian authorities and the population of the Dodecanese during the Italian’s rule (1924 – 1947) and the activity in cooperation with the German secret police in 1944, when the Germans brought to end the deportation of the Jewish living in the Aegean area.
