Mining and Geotechnology
In underground coal seam mining, the stable state of rocks on the mine workings contour is of great importance. As mining practice shows, in Kuzbass mines, underground mining operations are often carried out in weak, fractured, heavily disturbed and waterlogged rocks. Traditional methods of support are not effective enough here. The increase in the number of rock falls with increasing mining depth and the insufficient study of mechanical processes in the massif require the development and justification of rock strengthening technologies. Thus, managing the state of the rock massif to ensure its stability is the most important task of mining production.
The main part of the explored reserves of promising iron ore deposits of Gornaya Shoria is represented by blind ore deposits, which in most cases are close. During their development, the processes of displacement of worked-out rocks are activated and zones of dangerous displacements arise due to the mutual influence of worked-out spaces.
Metallurgy and Materials Science
The development of mechanical engineering, mining, and woodworking industries in our country under the conditions of import substitution is associated, among other things, with the use of sintered tungsten carbide hard alloys, which are widely used as tool materials.
The rational use of tungsten is especially important due to its high cost, scarcity, and high production costs. Powder wires with tungsten, which use recovered tungsten in the form of ferroalloys, alloys, and metal powders of various degrees of purity, are widely used for surfacing steels with the highest wear resistance. In addition, silicides, borides, carbides, and other tungsten compounds can be used to provide specific performance properties. W2C and WC tungsten carbides are used in the wires.
Research has shown that the microstructure of rail steel, which is formed during the heat treatment process, determines the level of mechanical properties and the performance of rails during operation. Therefore, identifying the changes in microstructure during changes in the heat treatment process is an important scientific and practical task in ensuring the quality of rails. In 2012 ‒ 2013, the EVRAZ United West Siberian Metallurgical Plant (ZSMK) carried out a radical reconstruction of the rail production, which includes a change in the heat treatment scheme with the abandonment of the technology of bulk quenching of rails in oil after furnace heating and the introduction of the technology of differentiated heat treatment with air using the heat of rolling heating. During the preparatory period, a large amount of experimental work was carried out on a pilot plant, which is described in detail in. These experiments are aimed at identifying the optimal chi
Mechanical engineering and transport
Continuous technological lines cannot be operated rationally if at least one of the units included in them has low operational reliability that is not synchronized with the rest of the units. The personnel operating the technological lines work continuously and purposefully to improve such reliability indicators as the unreliability, durability, and maintainability of the elements of the technological lines throughout their existence. By the end of their lifetime, the technological lines acquire the most stable operational properties in the context of the opportunities provided by objective reality. It is important to know what levels of reliability, durability, and maintainability the plant's services achieve by the end of the line's existence as a complex technical system. The interest in understanding how the performance of the units changes by the end of their existence stems from the fact that every technological system, once designed and manufactured, is a product of
Refrigerators are one of the most common units used in the final sections of technological lines of production processes in the ferrous metallurgy. On these aggregates, the hot metal, gradually moving along them, cools down to a temperature of marketable condition. Cooling type refrigerators are widely used, in which movable beams perform cyclic translational motion in two planes: vertical and horizontal. During the long evolution of the drives of these refrigerators, the engineering search for the most rational solution led to the conclusion that the hydraulic drive is the most effective. However, along with the positive qualities of hydraulic drives, negative phenomena are also observed during their operation, constraining their widespread use. The most significant disadvantage of hydraulic drives in these units is the presence of significant dynamic processes in their system. The results of the analysis of the reliability of the refrigerator elements of the continuous casting machine (CML) showed that hydraulic drives in refrigerators fail quite often (up to a hundred times a year). Thus, the assessment of dynamic processes during the operation of MNLZ refrigerators is of considerable interest from the point of view of the reliability of this type of equipment.
Power engineering and electrical technologies
High-voltage synchronous electric motors are widely used in mining and metallurgical clusters of industry in various regions. Examples of the use of such motors are turbocompressor units, hoisting machines, rolling mills. It is known that the advantages of these motors are high (96 - 98%) efficiency (especially high-power motors) and the ability to regulate the power factor under load.
Architecture and construction
The continental Russian North is a huge "country". The history of the development of the living environment in its various regions is individual, depends on many conditions and, first of all, on natural and climatic ones. If in its southern regions people are forced to protect themselves from sharp continental changes, then in the polar territories people are forced to constantly and everywhere fight against the excessive harshness of the natural environment.
Analysis of the evolution process of material and spatial structures of architectural and urban development objects in a harsh climate indicates the emergence and development of a buffer environment in their composition, intermediate between the external and internal, the exterior and the interior. A new architectural type of housing was born and is developing - an atrium building, which provides stage-by-stage optimal conditions for people to live in, protecting them from unfavorable natural and climatic influences, using favorable environmental factors and simultaneously compensating for the missing conditions important for life. At the same time, the emerging and developing type allows us to rethink the concept of "living environment", to raise its socio-cultural, sanitary and hygienic and especially ecological status to a qualitatively new level.
The extended territorial spaces of industrial enterprises that formed during the period of rapid growth of industrial cities in the Kemerovo Region are becoming a threat to their sustainable development. When entering large cities by road or rail, numerous empty boxes of industrial buildings, tall brick chimneys of factories, giant waste heaps of open pits and mines are visible everywhere. Most of these industrial facilities and structures ceased their activity in the nineties of the twentieth century and are currently only a reminder of their former greatness.
Ecology and rational use of natural resources
A comprehensive* technology for producing intermetallic coatings on the surface of metals with high thermal and electrical conductivity but low wear resistance, developed at the Volgograd State Technical University, includes the following sequential operations: explosion welding of multilayer blanks made of initial ductile metals that form intermetallic phases upon interaction; their subsequent shaping by pressure treatment, which allows obtaining products of the required geometric shape; heat treatment (HT) under contact melting conditions to form a multilayer (matrix ‒ intermetallic) or homogeneous structure with a given chemical and phase composition at the interlayer boundaries.
Economy and Management
At present, measures to improve the organization of work in workplaces and the development of incentive labor standards in connection with the transition to a piecework team form of payment are very relevant. The problem is that the previous approaches to labor organization have proven to be untenable, and new ones, reflecting the modern realities of the enterprise in the conditions of a developing market economy, are in the process of formation.
It is characteristic of the science of personnel management that the concepts of "management science", "decision-making science", "system analysis", and "systems science" are often used interchangeably. The main characteristics of the science of personnel management are listed below.
Education and Pedagogy
An academic discipline is a complete integral part of the educational process, structured in the sequence teacher – academic discipline – student. It is a means of implementing the content of education or a means of transmitting it with the help of pedagogical instrumentation.
Within the framework of the Concept of long-term socio-economic development of the Russian Federation for the period up to 2020, the creation of applied bachelor's degree programs providing modern qualifications for specialists in mass professions is designated as a target for the development of the education system.
