Abstract

Currently, the railways are transitioning to a continuous welded track design. The development of technologies that make it possible to obtain a continuous welded track with the required quality characteristics is currently a relevant area.

Abstract

Accelerated cooling of rolled products in the flow of mills during thermomechanical treatment (TMT) is an effective method for obtaining metal products from low-carbon steels with high mechanical properties.

Abstract

The modern stage of development of the track economy is characterized by the increasing spread of progressive resource-saving technologies of repair and maintenance of the railway track, high-performance track machines, the introduction of effective track designs, which include continuous track. The development of technologies that make it possible to obtain continuous track with the required quality characteristics is currently a relevant area.

Abstract

Liquid lithium lead material is one of the most promising concepts for the latest fusion reactor blanket design which has been widely investigated. It uses liquid lithium lead as breeding material, lithium for neutron breeding and lead for producing tritium. China, the European Union, the United States and other members of ITER (International Thermonuclear Experimental Reactor) all pay significant attention to the research and development of the liquid lithium lead. The main functions of the lithium lead alloy include energy conversion, tritium breed and radiation shield, it is crucial component in order to make fusion energy to achieve the ultimate applications. However, the concern about liquid metal blanket is its compatibility with candidate structural materials

Abstract

Analysis of the prospects for the development of steelmaking shows that at present there is a clear trend towards a wider application of prepared charge materials in steelmaking in arc steelmaking furnaces and converters, typical representatives of which are synthic and oxide-coal briquettes. In fact, such prepared charge materials are compositions of Fe-C-O-containing natural and man-made materials, including scale, sludge, smelting dust, coke breeze, etc. Synthetic composite materials, which are components of the charge, have a certain granulometric composition and shape. A very important factor is that Fe-C-O-containing composite charge materials radically change the course of physicochemical processes in the steelmaking bath. This occurs due to the presence of oxidizing and reducing components in their composition, which manifest themselves accordingly in different periods of smelting.

Abstract

The terms "disconformity" and "hiatus" are fundamental in geology, characterizing the disturbances of the continuum in sedimentary sequences. In Russian literature, these terms are quite unambiguous and, in general, their use does not cause any difficulties. According to the classical definitions in the "Geological Dictionary", unconformity of sedimentary rock layers is manifested in a sequence where older deposits are separated from younger ones by a surface corresponding to a hiatus, which, in turn, was a consequence of the cessation of sedimentation with or without erosion of previously accumulated layers. Various types of unconformities are distinguished, among which the most notable is the angular one, which is a consequence of tectonic deformations during a hiatus. A similar interpretation is characteristic of many works of the Soviet period and is dominant at present.

Abstract

The increased load on the working face and the increased depth of mining operations contributed to the growth of methane emissions into the mine workings of the extraction area and the mine as a whole, which resulted in frequent downtime of the working faces due to gassing of the workings with the outgoing air stream.

Abstract

During underground development of a suite of coal seams, when opening and preparing mine fields, it becomes necessary to carry out opening and preparation workings in a heterogeneous coal-rock massif. Such workings include crosscuts, brake slopes, inclines, breaks, chambers for various purposes, gas drainage workings, etc. The stability of the host rocks in various sections of such workings depends significantly on the properties of these host rocks, the shape and dimensions of the cross-section of the linear part of the working and its junctions with other workings.

Abstract

When developing a simulation model of a long face with complex mechanized operation, the problem arose of assessing the impact of uneven gas emission from the formation on the performance of mining operations: the load on the mining face, the machine time coefficient, etc.

Mechanical engineering and transport

Abstract

Despite the successful development of materials science, manifested in the creation of new alloys, composite materials, new structures, etc., modern technologies in almost all industries are based on the use of ferrous materials - up to 70% of the total volume. Therefore, the production of rolled products, the release of new profiles is a modern and urgent problem. The presence of a protracted global economic crisis has led to increased competition for the metal market, where the winner will be the manufacturer who produces a product with the most accurate and economical profiles. Such conditions ensure a constant increase in requirements not only for the quality of the rolled products, but also for the maximum possible cutting accuracy, which provides metal savings to the manufacturer and user of rolled products.

Abstract

The corrosion behavior of lead, both under anodic polarization conditions and in its absence, is strongly influenced by s- and p-elements, which have lattice parameters close to lead and also form solid solutions and intermediate phases in alloys with it. Elements with very limited solubility in lead are not effective as alloying components. In the absence of external polarization, the corrosion of alloys is determined by the chemical and electrochemical properties of the components, their products of interaction with the solution, and the structure of the alloys. In relation to lead, alkaline earth metals are the anodic component

Ecology and rational use of natural resources

Abstract

Pessimistic forecasts are increasingly beginning to dominate existing assessments of the environmental situation in the world. And this applies not only to foreign media. In Russia, and what is even more important for us – in Kuzbass, materials are appearing that predict the disastrous ecology of coal-mining Kuzbass. Written by non-professionals, such publications can provoke a negative reaction in unprepared readers.

Economy and Management

Abstract

Currently, the problem of providing production with highly qualified personnel is relevant in Russia. To solve the personnel problem, a new qualification system is being introduced, an integral part of which are professional standards. The task of the qualification system is to provide employers with qualified personnel, reduce the costs of their adaptation, train them in production technologies and, as a result, ensure stable quality of the manufactured product.

Abstract

In scientific sources and the media, the current topic of the last few years has been the global financial and economic crisis, including in the economy of the Russian Federation, and ways out of it. 66% of members of the expert council under the Government of the Russian Federation see the solution to this problem in the development of human potential (see figure).
