REUSE OF WASHWATER AT THE LEFT-BANK WATER INTAKE IN NOVOKUZNETSK
Abstract
When drinking water is collected at treatment plants from surface sources, a significant amount of contaminated water is generated from the blowdown of horizontal settling tanks or clarifiers containing a suspended sediment layer and the backwash of rapid filters. This water has high levels of suspended solids, color, aluminum, and other constituents.
