A MODEL FOR MANAGING MAN-MADE PRODUCTS AS RAW MATERIALS FOR THE CONSTRUCTION INDUSTRY

Abstract

The construction industry's raw material base includes both natural and man-made (industrial waste). One of the main ways to reduce material intensity in the production of building materials is through the use of secondary mineral resources (SMR). The Construction Materials Laboratory at the Siberian State Industrial University studied various man-made products of metallurgy: ferrous and non-ferrous metallurgy slags, foundry and gas cleaning waste; ore and coal beneficiation waste; burnt rock; industrial waste from the energy sector; mining waste, and others.
