RATIONAL USE OF LITHOGEN RESOURCES IN RECULTIVATION FOR SUSTAINABLE FUNCTIONING OF TECHNOGENIC LANDSCAPES OF KUZBASS
Abstract
The Kuznetsk Basin is the most industrially developed region of Siberia both in terms of the amount of coal reserves and its production. Currently, the region produces 56% of coal in Russia. According to the strategy for the socio-economic development of the Kemerovo Region, based on data from the Federal State Statistics Service, 174.0 million tons of coal were mined in the Kuznetsk Coal Basin in 2006, an increase of 105.2% compared to 2005. A particularly high growth rate is observed at coal enterprises engaged in open-pit mining. According to expert estimates, coal production will increase significantly in the future and by 2030 will amount to 275-330 million tons [1]. Consequently, the man-made load on the environment will also increase significantly.
