ENVIRONMENTAL CONSEQUENCES OF INDUSTRIAL DEVELOPMENT IN KUZBASS

Abstract

Kemerovo Oblast possesses both unique natural resources and significant industrial potential, and is of great importance for the country's economic development. The high concentration of industrial facilities within the region means that more than half the region's population is constantly exposed to air pollution, and water sources and central water supply systems pose a health hazard to residents. Therefore, it is important to study the region's environmental problems in a historical context.
