PROTECTION OF THE MATRIX FREQUENCY CONVERTER IN EMERGENCY MODES
Abstract
Matrix frequency converters have not received widespread use in the industry despite the obvious advantages over other types of converters. The main reason for this is the complexity of practical implementation, the lack of integrated power semiconductor switches capable of conducting current in both directions and blocking voltages of both polarities in the closed state, and a number of switching problems.
