Abstract

Currently, the market economy poses a number of priority tasks for the development of enterprises, which must be addressed by managers and specialists based on a radical improvement in the level of professional training of management personnel. In this regard, specialists working in enterprises and organizations in the field of material production are required to have a broad technical, organizational, and economic perspective, as well as the ability to navigate the ever-changing market environment and make appropriate organizational decisions. To accomplish these tasks, it is necessary to choose the optimal management decisions, which involve a retrospective assessment of the economic performance of industrial enterprises (including rolling mills), as well as ways to improve the organization and planning of production. These requirements form the structure of the reviewed textbook for students of higher education institutions studying in the field of metallurgy.
