TO THE 65TH ANNIVERSARY OF ANDREY ROSTISLAVOVICH FASTYKOVSKY

April 26, 2017 marked the 65th birthday of Professor, Head of the Department of "Metal Pressure Processing and Metal Science. EVRAZ ZSMK", Honorary Worker of Higher Professional Education of the Russian Federation Andrey Rostislavovich Fastykovsky.
After graduating from the Siberian Metallurgical Institute in 1974, having received a specialty as an engineer in metal pressure processing, A.R. Fastykovsky was actively engaged in scientific and pedagogical activities. He went from being a research engineer to a Doctor of Technical Sciences, Head of the Graduation Department.
A.R. Fastykovsky is a well-known specialist in the field of metal pressure processing. The theoretical and experimental studies carried out by him made it possible to lay the scientific foundations for the practical application of combined methods of metal forming, using which new technical and technological solutions were developed and implemented at metallurgical enterprises with a great economic effect.
A.R. Fastykovsky is the author of more than 200 scientific and educational works, including a monograph, five textbooks recommended by the Ministry of Education for teaching in higher education institutions of the country, 17 author's certificates and patents. The high level of his textbooks is confirmed by numerous diplomas from authoritative exhibitions and a gold medal from the Paris Book Fair. For his achievements in the scientific field, he was elected a corresponding member of the Russian Academy of Natural Sciences (RANH).
A.R. Fastykovsky has extensive experience in teaching, which he began in 1980. He constantly improves his skills, uses advanced teaching methods. His knowledge and experience are highly appreciated by his colleagues. He is a member of two dissertation councils.
For many years of conscientious work in training highly qualified specialists, A.R. Fastykovsky was awarded the title of "Honorary Worker of Higher Professional Education of the Russian Federation", awarded the order "LABORE ET SCIENTIA" (LABOR AND KNOWLEDGE), medals "Veteran of Labor of Russia", "70 years of the Kemerovo Region", "A. Nobel". The merits of A.R. Fastykovsky are highly appreciated by the regional administration: he was awarded diplomas, certificates of honor and cash prizes.
A high-level professional, friendly, smart and collected A.R. Fastykovsky enjoys well-deserved respect and authority among colleagues and students.
