MATHEMATICAL MODELING OF DISPLACEMENT AND STRESS DISTRIBUTIONS IN A PIECEWISE-HOMOGENEOUS ISOTROPIC MASSIF

Abstract

Analysis of the stress-strain state of horizontally layered massifs, including workings, geological faults, and fluid reservoirs, remains a pressing problem. Many scientists and specialists, including B.V. Vlasenko, G.I. Gritsko, A.N. Dinnik, V.E. Mirenkov, V.N. Oparin, and others, have contributed to its solution. To study the stress-strain state of the host rocks around the working contour, it is necessary to calculate the magnitudes of additional displacements, stresses, and strains. At the preliminary stage of their calculation, it is necessary to determine the stress-strain state of the intact massif. The authors proposed a method for solving boundary value problems for modeling the stress-strain state of heterogeneous massifs based on the finite difference method.
